Common Questions

I currently work in ABA/AST. Can I bring my clients with me if I join your team?
Yes. The bond you build with your clients is everything, and we are strong advocates for continuity of care. Since clients always have the right to choose their provider, our doors are wide open if your families decide to follow you here. We will gladly welcome them and make the Regional Center transfer seamless so your care never skips a beat.
How does scheduling actually work? Do I get to pick my hours?
Yes — scheduling is built around you, not the other way around. We pair you with clients whose families need support at times you're available. Most clients receive 20–35 hours of support per month, and once you're matched, you and the family settle into a rhythm that works for both of you. Life changes — kids, classes, other commitments — so we revisit and adjust as needed. The goal is sustainable work you can actually stay in long enough to make a difference.
What if I don't have direct autism experience but I have other caregiving or teaching background?
Apply anyway. The baseline requirement is a bachelor's in a related field (education, social work, psychology, nursing, or similar) plus a year working with individuals with developmental disabilities. But we look at the whole picture. Teachers, former camp counselors, respite workers, tutors, older siblings who grew up supporting a family member — you're exactly who we want to meet. Paid initial training fills in the specifics on our approach so you start confident, not scrambling.

We want people who show up for the ones everyone else gave up on.

At Levi Life Skills, we help children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities build useful skills. Sharing a toy. Asking for assistance. Making a friend. For our clients, these aren't small things — they're the difference between a life lived fully and one spent on the sidelines.

We want you if
01

You believe people are capable of more.

A lot of our clients have been underestimated for years. Teachers adjusted their expectations. People stopped pushing. You come in assuming the opposite, and you're usually right.

02

You celebrate what others don't know to.

The first time a client ties his shoes without help. A new word. A morning routine pulled off successfully. You know these moments are the whole point, and you treat them that way.

03

You like figuring people out.

Every client is different. What works for one won't work for another. You find that interesting, not frustrating. You pick up new approaches constantly. Over time, you get good at it.

04

Once you're in their corner, you don't leave it.

You know their triggers, their tells, their good days and their hard ones. You've watched them do things people said they couldn't. You keep going when progress gets hard. That's what your client needs, and too rarely gets.

(Yep, that's me)

From the Founder

Hi, I'm Nathaniel, founder of Levi Life Skills.

I grew up supporting my sister with autism before entering the respite care field. After seeing the industry's gaps firsthand, I founded Levi Life Skills to set a higher standard. We built this to provide the level of care that families actually deserve.

We keep admin low and our door open, because the better we support you, the better care your clients get.
